I can't tell you how many times I passed this place to go to church. One evening I was starving and decided to finally try it out since I was in the area. Boy was I surprised!! Their taco Tuesday tacos are amazing!! I ordered one chicken and one Carne asada taco. The chicken was fair and the carne asada was bomb! It was well seasoned unlike the chicken taco. They also have a regular spiced salsa and a very spicy salsa in a packet. My favorite was the very spicy salsa. It added an extra boost of flavor to the tacos after I squeezed lemon on them. Yum, yum, yum!! The service was decent but to be able to get the taco Tuesday price, you have to order outside at the window and not inside. The inside of the restaurant is basic, the parking lot and be a little shady depending on the time of day since the restaurant is near a halfway house of sorts. I will definitely be stopping again!!

A Delicious Evening at El Sauz Mexican Restaurant Last night's dinner at El Sauz Mexican Restaurant was another reminder of why I keep coming back! This gem of a place has a taco window that never disappoints, offering a variety of mouth-watering options. Whether you're in the mood for something classic or adventurous, they've got you covered with their wide selection of tacos. As a regular, I have my go-to favorite -- the chicken and shrimp quesadilla, accompanied by perfectly seasoned rice and beans. It's consistently delicious and fills you up without breaking the bank. The pricing is very reasonable, especially given the quality and portions of the food served. The ambiance at El Sauz is casually inviting, with a lively atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. It's a great spot for an evening out, whether you're with family or catching up with friends. Overall, my experiences at El Sauz have always been excellent, marked by friendly service, fantastic food, and a welcoming vibe. If you find yourself craving some authentic Mexican fare, I highly recommend you check out their taco window and maybe even find your own favorite dish! Only thing is parking could be difficult. I know my review is long I just had to get it all in. :)

I am obsessed with this place! Even before I tried the food as everyone knows I do Uber Eats all over the So Cal and OC areas. I notice when restaurants are booked and busy. Shoutout to Emily for being so polite. Honestly I enjoy small talk so I can get to know the food and people. I can early with my mom and she was patient and kind. The place is adorable and is a "hole-in-the-wall" so to speak so I love that! I provide honest reviews. So the FOOD duh! Amazing and this is reheated. Only one star because I didn't eat in the restaurant so I heated it up. It's very good though! I'll just be back. Also one star because as soon as you go to your car people are asking for free food which isn't cool because people work hard to eat out in this day and age. Thank you for the pure love Emily and kitchen staff!

I've only heard good things about this place so I was so excited to get food here! I got takeout, but they let you look at the menu and seat you while you wait for your order. I ordered 6 tacos, chicken enchilada plate (2 chicken enchiladas, beans, and rice), and horchata. I only ate the chicken enchilada plate and drank the horchata. The chicken enchiladas were amazing, the rice was good, and the beans were great. The horchata was okay, but it did leave a weird film on my tongue every time I drank it. It was different than other horchatas I've had. I'm not sure if I would get it again. The restaurant was super clean, and the staff were so nice. I definitely will sit down and eat there next time. I would also recommend this place to my friends and family!

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Great food, service, and prices. I must confess, this restaurant wasn't on our radar at all until we saw that they were opening a location on 4th St, near us. We wanted to know what to expect, so decided to do a little recon mission one night and visit their OG Anaheim St location. Their parking lot is always packed with people ordering from their window, and on the night we went it was no exception. So it was kind of surprising to see that their dining room was not crowded at all. I guess most people just like to get their stuff to go? There was one of those retractable strap barricade things right by the front door so you couldn't advance very far into the restaurant until the hostess let you in. A little baffling , but not a big deal. Maybe they get really mobbed on weekends? Anyhoo, after we were seated and our friendly server brought out waters and a complimentary chips and salsa (nice crispy chips and the salsa had a decent kick), we ordered the Two cheese enchiladas suizas plate, and two fish tacos a la carte. The enchiladas plate was massive, covered with a healthy (haha) topping of cheese and suizas sauce--so good! The fish tacos had very tender mild grilled white fish and was garnished with a ton of onions, cilantro, and radishes--also very good. We were very impressed with the food and service, and was pleasantly surprised when we got our bill, as we thought the prices were very reasonable for the portions and quality. Their 4th St location can't open soon enough!

I've been on the hunt for a great late night taco spot and found this one. It's open till 2 am. They have their own parking lot. They have indoor and outdoor seating. You order at their window outside and they call out your number on the speakers. I went there around 12:30 and there were plenty of people ordering. I heard it's a local spot here. The tacos were $2 each. I got the Al Pastor Taco, Cabeza Taco, Carnitas Taco. I love how juicy the meats are. This taco is bigger than the street tacos with it being so filled up. They give you only one salsa, which this Abuela said it was really spicy. I wish they have other salsa options you can choose from.

Had seen this place many times and decided to finally try it. They have some tables set up outside for dine-in, but the actual booths indoors are not available at this time. Many people also ordered food to-go. There is a small parking lot but it fills up quickly. Order food at the window, and pick-up when they call your number. I was a bit annoyed that the picture slideshow showed many food items not listed out on the menu; I wish their menu actually showed all of their dishes. We ended up ordering several tacos, a quesadilla with flour tortilla, a flan, and a tamarind agua fresca. The tacos were small street tacos and tasty plus authentic; I especially enjoyed the crispy tripa. The salsa was a bit too spicy for me that day. The agua fresca was mediocre, and the flan a bit dense and sweet. Prices were affordable, so that is probably the main draw. Overall, a solid taquería.
